dreamreaver: (what is this—?!)
AND IT'S STILL 33C AT 9pm

WONDERFUL

I knew all that cool weather last December was too good to last

...

I'm sleeping in the lounge room tonight, the air-con is too tempting

(just because I'm used to it, doesn't mean I like it)

LIKE THIS

AND THIS

AND THUNDER AS WELL

(western Sydney; if it hasn't hit the inner city yet, then it will soon)

dreamreaver: (how utterly unsurprising)
Oh do shut up you pussy Northerners, out here we have to deal with upwards of 30C every fucking summer (and late spring, if the weather decides it hates everyone that year - like now)

See, I don't live near the coast...
dreamreaver: (hrmm...)
I've been listening to a bunch of orchestral music lately, let's leave it at that. Also, I'm quite interested in Ancient Rome. Yeah, so they spoke Latin, but Italian is its closest relative. And Latin sounds kinda rough with the "us" and "k" sounds everywhere.

They say Italian is the most melodious language in the world...but most of the Italian I hear at home would be my dad cursing at inopportune moments *snicker* Too bad he says it too swiftly for me to catch the actual words =*

He's forgotten quite a bit of the language (living in Sydney for over 50 years does that)...still, he would make a good practicing partner if I decided to learn it again.

It was compulsory during my year 7 (that would be equivalent to early middle school for you Americans), but I didn't try to keep up with it afterward because I wasn't much interested in the language then.

That said, I wouldn't actually want to live in the country, if mostly because it's Catholicland, and I am very much a liberal atheist - it'd stick out like a sore thumb if I spoke up.

I GOTS A NEW COMPUTER TODAY YAAAAAAAAY

*ahem*

Yeah. Sorry 'bout that.

Also, I apparently turned 18 today, therefore those "age-inappropriate" messages can go choke on their fumes!

In other news,
the Australian government is still full of raving lunatics.

ps here's the specs )

dreamreaver: (revolted)
...and I still have to go to a very important meeting tomorrow. Blarg.

Cold, flu, call it what you will, it always attacks around this time (late winter/early spring), but it seems to be worse than usual this year. I don't know why.

Not one week ago it was raining, I daresay almost flooding, and now it's turned back to a near-heat wave. Blah.

Why must Australian weather be so bitchy?

Living inland sucks.
dreamreaver: (diamond sky dragon)
...and every time I say to myself "I'm going to fix this, I really will", something has to distract me.

Like Mystery Dungeon Sky, for instance.

Or maybe I'm just trying to distract myself on purpose...
